Common Questions

How much does tree removal cost in North Texas?

Small trees (under 30 ft) typically run $150–$500, medium trees (30–60 ft) $500–$1,500, and large trees $1,500–$4,000+. Stump grinding adds $100–$400. Every job gets a free on-site estimate. Our full Dallas pricing guide is on the blog.

Do you offer emergency tree removal after storms?

Yes. Same-day emergency response for trees on structures or blocking access, with priority scheduling during active storm damage. If power lines are involved, call 911 and your utility first.

Are you licensed and insured for tree work in Texas?

Yes. Godoy's Wolves carries full liability insurance and workers compensation, and we'll provide certificates before any work begins.

When is the best time to trim trees in Texas?

Late winter dormancy is ideal for most species, and oaks should be avoided February through June to reduce oak wilt risk. Dead or hazardous limbs should come off any time of year.

Do you remove the stump after cutting down a tree?

Stump grinding is available as an add-on to any removal, and doing both at once costs less than a return trip.

When should oaks be pruned in North Texas?

Avoid February through June. Oak wilt spreads through fresh wounds while the beetles that carry it are active, and a cut made in April is an open invitation. Outside that window, or immediately sealed if the work genuinely cannot wait.

How do I know if a tree is actually dangerous?

Look for a lean that has changed, cracks in the trunk, mushrooms at the base, or a canopy that leafed out thinner than last year. Deadwood over a roof or a driveway is worth acting on regardless. If you are not sure, we will look at it free.

Will you damage my lawn getting equipment in?

We use the smallest equipment that will do the job safely and lay protection over turf on soft ground. On tight or wet lots we rig and carry rather than drive, which takes longer and costs us more, and it is the reason the yard is still there afterwards.

Do you offer emergency service at night and on weekends?

Yes, seven days. A tree on a structure or blocking access is treated as urgent and we will tell you honestly on the phone whether it needs someone tonight or can wait until morning.
